PUBG Corp, the designer of Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), has reported $920 million in revenue in 2018. This equated to a whopping earnings of $310 million in a single year for PUBG Corp. It’s not a surprise that a huge majority of this profits comes through PUBG for PC. This is due to the fact that PC is where PUBG was first launched and the truth that the mobile version of the video game is established by Tencent Games and not PUBG Corp. PUBG is a fight royale game where approximately 100 players are paradropped on to an island and the last individual or team standing wins.
PUBG Corp’s revenue figures come via VG247, which spotted the numbers on Naver Sports. The report specifies that PUBG for PC made the designer $790 million in 2019. Earnings from the console and mobile versions of the game were comparable $60 million and $65 million respectively.
It’s crucial to keep in mind that PUBG Mobile is developed by Tencent Games, which the company is most likely to be making most of the money from the video game. PUBG Corp is in all probability getting yearly licensing costs or a share of the earnings from Tencent Games.
The report specifies that PUBG is most popular in Asia as the region made 53 percent of the video game’s revenue. North America, rest of the world, and Europe are the other big factors to PUBG Corp’s revenues.
